HOW TO HORL

Your perfect start

Key information for sharpening your HORL Scissors.

Sharpening with the HORL sharpener

The scissor blades normally only require sharpening with the HORL ceramic honing disc. However, if the HORL Scissors become significantly blunt, also use the diamond grinding disc beforehand.

Separate the scissor halves

Open the scissors wide with both hands until you feel a noticeable resistance and overcome this. The two scissor halves can then be separated.

Position the upper scissor half correctly

Place the scissor half on its contact surfaces, these ensure an optimal angle of 45°. Secure it with your fingers and thumb in the handle eye and on the inside of the blade.

Grind the upper half

Press on the scissor handle with your supporting hand for a stable standing position. Place the ceramic disk against the blade and grind for 30 seconds.

Reassemble the scissors

After grinding the upper half, put the scissor halves back together again.
